Why we designed Corporate Cats™
We built Corporate Cats™ after years of sitting in rooms where everyone knew something wasn’t working - and no one quite said it. Boardrooms. Project meetings. Steering committees. The pattern was consistent, no matter the company size, no matter the project budget, no matter the discipline.
The problem was rarely intelligence, nor was it unknown, it was however, silent. Polite agreement masking doubt. Scope expanding without challenge. Jargon filling the space where clarity should have been.
Over time, we realised most workplace dysfunction isn’t dramatic. It’s subtle. It accumulates. It hides behind process and language.
What started as a light hearted way to name the unsaid, turned into our own corporate vocabulary. Over time, and through many companies, we realised others could learn from this, and thus, Corporate Cats was born.
A structured way to surface what’s already in the room - without escalating conflict, without blaming individuals, and without pretending everything is fine.
It uses satire to create distance, it uses structure to create discipline, it uses cards to create permission.
The goal isn’t to embarrass anyone, it’s to help capable people have clearer conversations. Because we truly believe that most failures aren’t unavoidable, they’re just unspoken.
Who we are
We are two professionals who have spent our careers working inside complex organisations across a multitude of fields, from health, banking, insurance, government, consulting. You name it, one of us has probably worked there.
We’ve worked across leadership teams, delivery environments and operational settings where decisions carry weight and ambiguity has consequences.
Between us, we bring experience in strategy, execution and organisational dynamics. We understand how work actually unfolds - not in theory, but in practice.
We’ve sat in the rooms where alignment looks smooth on the surface and tension runs underneath. We’ve worked in environments where deadlines matter, trade-offs are real and language shapes outcomes.
